Job Title: Bid Writing Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Bid Writing Manager to join our team at Bid Solutions. As a key member of our bid team, you will be responsible for managing, coaching, and mentoring a small team of bid coordinators to ensure they have the right skillset to successfully coordinate bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair the Bid-No-Bid Board meeting alongside the Director of UK Bid Management
  • Liaise with the Commercial and Legal Team on a regular basis to ensure they are informed of all bidding activity, and stay informed of potential contractual / legislative or risk aspects
  • Create additional bespoke content for the submission, by interviewing the necessary technical team members to capture the right story
  • Ensure that all submissions are well written, compliant with what the client has asked for, and are in line with agreed themes, brand and corporate message
  • Challenge any content that falls short of meeting the expected standard and score
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve bid writing skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
  • Line management and or mentoring / coaching experience
  • Excellent computer and IT skills including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign specifically), Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience of using spreadsheets and databases
