Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bid Writing Manager to join our team at Bid Solutions. As a key member of our bid team, you will be responsible for managing, coaching, and mentoring a small team of bid coordinators to ensure they have the right skillset to successfully coordinate bids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to direct reports and junior members of the wider bid team as needed.
  • Participate in training and company update sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest industry developments and best practices.
  • Chair the Bid-No-Bid Board meeting alongside the Director of UK Bid Management.
  • Liaise with the Commercial and Legal Team to ensure they are informed of all bidding activity and stay up-to-date on potential contractual, legislative, or risk aspects.
  • Create additional bespoke content for submissions by interviewing technical team members to capture the right story.
  • Ensure all submissions are well-written, compliant with client requirements, and aligned with agreed themes, brand, and corporate message.
  • Challenge any content that falls short of meeting expected standards and score.
  • Utilize strong copywriting and copy-editing skills to produce high-quality content.
  • Apply line management and/or mentoring/coaching experience to lead and develop team members.
  • Employ excellent computer and IT skills, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign specifically), Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with using spreadsheets and databases.
