About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at SeeAbility. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct and practical support to individuals with complex needs, including personal care, daily activities, and assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the people we support, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations, and support them in making informed decisions about their lives.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless and effective service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans, and participate in regular reviews and updates.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, and help them to manage challenging behaviors and emotions.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of activities, outings, and events that promote social inclusion and community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual support plans, progress, and outcomes.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with individuals with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, including shift work and on-call duties.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness to participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
