Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Housing Support Consultant, you will conduct an Initial Needs Assessment (INA) with each client, employing a strengths-based methodology within established timeframes. You will evaluate needs and risks, remaining vigilant to any changes that may indicate increased risk or serious harm, including safeguarding and personal safety concerns.

You will play a vital role in creating and implementing effective, solution-oriented accommodation strategies and guiding clients towards achieving successful outcomes by leveraging your expertise in housing and a thorough understanding of local service offerings. Additionally, you will be expected to cultivate and maintain relationships with social and private housing providers, as well as engage with various agencies within the criminal justice sector. Monitoring client progress and documenting information on digital platforms will also be essential components of your role.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Relevant housing qualification or substantial experience in the field
  • Proven track record of contributing effectively as part of a high-performing team
  • Familiarity with digital technologies and experience in providing documentation for external audits
  • Understanding of the key issues surrounding homelessness and the rehabilitation of offenders
  • Insight into how staff with lived experiences can enhance service delivery
  • Exceptional interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and professional approach to your responsibilities
