Role Overview
As a Lead Housing Support Specialist, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in overseeing a diverse caseload of clients while managing a team of dedicated housing support professionals.
Positioned within one of our operational hubs, you will play a crucial role in the Forward Leeds drug and alcohol service. Your primary responsibility will involve assisting individuals who recognize their struggles with substance use and/or alcohol, alongside addressing housing-related challenges.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how inadequate housing and the threat of homelessness can adversely affect an individual's capacity to manage their substance and alcohol consumption.
They will have practical experience in safeguarding, risk assessment, recovery planning, and therapeutic strategies that empower individuals to confront their substance use issues. Additionally, familiarity with housing pathways and solutions is essential. The candidate should exhibit confidence in their ability to achieve outstanding results, possess self-motivation, and have the capability to inspire others.
