About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highly Specialist Dysphagia Speech & Language Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with swallowing disorders across various settings.

You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient. Your expertise will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for those affected by dysphagia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with suspected or diagnosed swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions to address a range of dysphagia symptoms and challenges.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about swallowing disorders and management strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for individuals with complex needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree qualification or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Post-qualification training and experience in dysphagia assessment and treatment.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
