Main Responsibilities- Lead the speech and language therapy service, providing day-to-day management and supervision of junior staff.
- Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Manage and prioritize caseloads, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is a leading provider of healthcare services in west Essex and east Hertfordshire. We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes through innovative and evidence-based practice.
Requirements- Recognized Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
- Registered to practice with Health Professionals Council and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Post Graduate Training in dysphagia management and Videofluoroscopy.
- Experience in working with complex aetiologies, including stroke, adult learning disability, head and neck cancers, neurological conditions, and dementia.
- Experience in using specialist assessments, such as psycholinguistics and videofluoroscopy.
- Experience in supervising students and assistants.
