Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our speech and language therapy service and contribute to the development of our clinical team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the speech and language therapy service, providing day-to-day management and supervision of junior staff.
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Manage and prioritize caseloads, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • Registered to practice with Health Professionals Council and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Post Graduate Training in dysphagia management and Videofluoroscopy.
  • Experience in working with complex aetiologies, including stroke, adult learning disability, head and neck cancers, neurological conditions, and dementia.
  • Experience in using specialist assessments, such as psycholinguistics and videofluoroscopy.
  • Experience in supervising students and assistants.
