Position Overview

Barbour, a renowned lifestyle brand with a rich heritage, is seeking a dedicated IT Business Systems Analyst to join our IT Systems team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our Supply Chain systems, ensuring that we continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong background in business systems, particularly in ERP and MES environments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough analysis of business needs and facilitating discovery workshops with users to create detailed specification documents and user stories that align with evolving customer and business requirements.
  • Collaborating with SaaS providers, software development teams, and systems integrators to design effective solutions and proposals that meet functional specifications.
  • Overseeing the implementation of changes and solutions, ensuring compliance with requirements through smoke testing, and leading end-to-end testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Assessing the impact of changes, adhering to release and change management protocols, and managing stakeholder communications to ensure successful project launches.
  • Evaluating and scheduling major upgrades, releases, patches, and bug fixes to maintain system integrity.
  • Working closely with the integration team to facilitate changes and deliver integrations to the ERP system.
  • Providing third-level support and guidance to the operational support teams.
  • Assisting the business with data queries, extracts, and analytical tasks.
  • Maintaining comprehensive system documentation and knowledge bases.
  • Engaging in additional project and support activities as required.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in supporting and enhancing ERP and/or manufacturing or supply chain systems.
  • A background in operational business, preferably within the apparel or fashion industry.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a structured approach to managing and resolving critical data issues.
  • Proficiency in SQL is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Postman and APIs is advantageous.
  • Willingness to provide out-of-hours support for critical incidents and scheduled maintenance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders effectively.
  • The capability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A strategic mindset, understanding both long-term and short-term perspectives.
  • Creative and analytical thinking skills to address business challenges and propose viable solutions.
  • A commitment to intellectual curiosity and integrity.
  • A drive to achieve long-term business objectives.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team and across various functions.
  • A readiness to travel for support and project initiatives.
