About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven National Account Executive to join our Sales team at Lotus Bakeries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and growing our business with key grocery customers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Develop and execute business plans with key customers to maximize sales of our products during key trading periods.
  • Account Management: Manage the profit and loss (P&L) of assigned accounts and deliver value, volume, and profit targets.
  • Cross-Functional Relationships: Build strong relationships with key customer contacts, including buying, supply, trade planners, and shopper marketing teams.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Manage new line setup, EPOS, and invoice tracking using retailer systems.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Work with our supply and operations teams to ensure accurate customer forecasts, including new launches, base, promo, and feature activity.
  • Sell-In and Ranging: Collaborate with our category team to develop engaging sell-in stories for new products and ranging and distribution opportunities.
  • Shopper Marketing: Work with our shopper marketing teams to create disruptive and engaging display and feature in stores and online.
  • Store Visits: Regularly visit stores to ensure activity is executed and review retailer and competitor trends.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Support the Sales Team with weekly reporting and maintaining key documents for the wider business.
Requirements
  • Results-Driven: Proven track record of delivering business results.
  • Numerate: Understanding of P&Ls and margins with good attention to detail.
  • Strong Selling Skills: Ability to win and influence buyers and internal teams.
  • Good Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to seek out new opportunities for the accounts and the business.
  • Highly Motivated: Passion for retail and food, with a keen eye for new trends and retail activations.
  • Great Relationship Builder: Personable and collaborative attitude when working with customers.
  • Natural Fit: Aligns with our company values and culture.
  • Education: Degree-level education.
