Job Summary

The Quality Service Desk Coordinator will be responsible for supervising and issuing planned preventative maintenance tasks, reactive maintenance tasks, and additional works to ensure the reliability of our mechanical and electrical systems. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and issue planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Respond to electrical and mechanical related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests in a prompt and effective manner.
  • Coordinate initial actions associated with client or helpdesk requests.
  • Coordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors for electrical and mechanical aspects of planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with electrical and mechanical services.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults associated with planned preventative maintenance or reactive maintenance of our sites.
  • Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, and control systems associated with heating and ventilation building services.
  • Repair and maintain gas, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
  • Attend monthly meetings as required.
  • Provide survey reports in relation to work and equipment as required.
  • Provide costs for additional lifecycle replacement works as required.
  • Proactively work towards the growth of our contract, primarily on mechanical and electrical systems, covering lifecycle replacements, project works, etc.
  • Effectively supervise the engineering team relative to the above systems and disciplines.
  • Manage and prepare RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement).
  • Undertake miscellaneous duties as requested by the client or line manager.
  • Assist and liaise with other trades as necessary.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds Parts SVQ 2/3 in Service & Maintenance or recognized equivalent.
  • Service & Maintenance Apprenticeship – gained within the building maintenance industry or recognized apprenticeship as a heating engineer/electrical engineer.
  • Health and Safety Training.
  • Experience with similar maintenance duties, including fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical installation, repair, and maintenance work.
  • Gas Safe qualified.
  • IPAF Operators Licence 3a + 3b.
  • PASMA Certified.
  • Harness.
  • Appointed Mechanical Authorized person.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience in computer PPM management systems (Concept 5000 and Evolution).
  • 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E) Registration or recognized equivalent.
  • Experience in BMS, Automatic Controls, Building Automation Systems.
  • ACOP L8 Control of Legionella.
  • F Gas, C&G Level 2 Category 1 ODS Regulations.
