Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Safety and Compliance Coordinator to oversee health and safety protocols within our organization. This position is primarily office-based but will require regular visits to project sites to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Oversight: Develop and maintain an effective Health & Safety Policy to safeguard our workforce.
  • Documentation Management: Create and manage all necessary health and safety documentation as per regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including training and qualifications.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide updates to senior management regarding compliance status and health-related incidents.
  • Site Evaluations: Conduct thorough health and safety assessments during site visits to identify potential risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement strategies for enhancing safety measures across projects.
  • ISO Compliance: Assist in the development of processes to align with ISO standards and maintain documentation.
  • Accreditation Management: Ensure that all necessary safety accreditations are current and renewed as required.
  • Engage with a leading contractor involved in high-profile engineering projects.
  • Contribute to significant infrastructure developments across the UK.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in health and safety management within the Civil Engineering industry.
  • Skills: Strong capability in developing and implementing health and safety practices and documentation.
  • Evaluation Expertise: Proficient in reviewing Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Safe Working Procedures.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH, NCRQ/NVQ Level 5+, and IOSH certifications are essential.
