About the Role

As an Academic Scheduler, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our academic programs. You will be responsible for creating and managing the timetable for our campus, taking into account room availability, teaching schedules, and student needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with academic teams to develop a comprehensive timetable that meets their specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of facilities information to ensure effective room allocation and utilization.
  • Oversee resource planning, including venues, rooms, and staff, resolving any conflicts that may arise.
  • Ensure all students receive individual timetables promptly and accurately.
  • Utilize our central platform to manage and record all timetabling information.
  • Proactively address and resolve any timetabling issues or adjustments, such as rescheduling classes and arranging lecturer substitutions.
  • Coordinate bookings for resources and spaces in collaboration with the Building and Technical Team.
  • Assist in the scheduling of exams and assessments.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior administrative or timetabling role, involving complex resource allocation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of timetabling.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Methodical and logical approach to planning and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with various teams.
  • Proficiency in timetabling software and platforms.
