Job Summary:

The Gorse Academies Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic and Examinations Officer to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our examination centre and supporting the development of our data and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of examinations, including scheduling, invigilation, and results processing.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student data, including attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Provide administrative support to the Mathematics department, including preparing materials, coordinating events, and communicating with staff and students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with examination regulations and procedures, and maintain accurate records of all examination-related activities.

Requirements:

  • GCSE Grade C/4 and above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience of working in a school and/or office environment.
  • Experience of working in an examinations and data role.
  • Membership to a government pension scheme.

About the Role:

The Gorse Academies Trust is a unique specialist post-16 provision, focussing on the academic study of Mathematics and mathematical sciences. We operate in partnership with the University of Leeds, providing high-quality teaching for students with a love of Mathematics and preparing them for the academic and employment opportunities that will be available to them in the future.
