The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is a global think tank dedicated to promoting the application of blockchain technology in the fight against climate change. Our organization is comprised of a diverse group of volunteers from around the world, working together to advance our mission.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Wellbeing Manager to join our team and support the development and implementation of our wellbeing strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Wellbeing Officer to execute our wellbeing initiatives and provide support to our volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wellbeing Needs Assessment: Identify the wellbeing needs of our volunteers and recommend initiatives to address these needs, aligning with our wellbeing framework.
- Research and Development: Conduct research on resources, programs, and groups to support the implementation of wellbeing initiatives.
- Process Development: Develop and implement effective processes and workflows to facilitate the success of wellbeing initiatives.
- Feedback and Evaluation: Gather feedback from volunteers and continuously enhance wellbeing initiatives, framework, processes, and workflows as needed.
- Initiative Execution: Manage the execution of wellbeing initiatives across the organization, taking initiative where required.
- Change Management: Diagnose and implement changes where necessary, tracking the effectiveness of any efforts taken in the Wellbeing branch.
Requirements:
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Pressure Management: Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Writing Skills: Proficient in English writing with meticulous attention to detail.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Wellbeing Approaches: In-depth understanding of wellbeing approaches within organizational contexts.
- BCI Subjects: Familiarity with key BCI subjects such as climate change, climate finance, and blockchain technology is advantageous.
- Passion for Wellbeing: Demonstrated interest and passion for wellbeing within organizational settings.
- Current Trends: Knowledgeable about current trends in wellbeing practices within organizations.
Education and Training:
- Strong Educational Background: Strong educational background at the degree level.
Relevant Experience:
- Wellbeing Experience: Over 4 years of experience in the field of wellbeing.
- Initiative Implementation: Proven expertise in implementing successful wellbeing initiatives within organizations.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Experience in both independent work and collaborative team environments.

Selection Process:
As a voluntary organization, we are pleased to open the door for candidates who may not have the prior experience they need to start, progress, or switch their careers. To recruit the most suitable, talented, or potential new members out of the volume of applications received, it is the BCI's policy to also consider inexperienced candidates to fill our voluntary unpaid roles as long as they can demonstrate the skills required in the written assessment.
The selection process will involve the following steps:
- Verbal and Numerical Reasoning: Section A: Verbal and Numerical Reasoning (20 multiple-choice questions)
- Situation Judgement Test: Section B: Situation Judgement Test (20 multiple-choice questions)
- In-Tray Exercise: Section C: In-Tray Exercise (An open-ended assessment relevant to the duties of the role)
Candidates who pass all three sections will be invited to attend a phone screening, first interview, and final interview online.
