Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate paediatric nurse to become a vital member of our specialized Paediatric Oncology outreach team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the paediatric oncology unit to enhance and innovate nursing practices for children with cancer across various healthcare environments.

Strong communication and organizational abilities are crucial for this position. The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive and practical mindset towards service enhancement and assessment, along with the capability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this role; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

The selected individual will oversee a caseload of children and adolescents in partnership with the band 7 team leaders and the multidisciplinary team, providing essential support and chemotherapy services in the comfort of their homes.

Core duties include the evaluation and management of care for paediatric oncology patients in their residences. You will serve as a primary contact for families, the multidisciplinary team, other healthcare facilities, and community organizations, offering specialized guidance and information.

Qualifications
