Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Radiotherapy Scheduling Coordinator. As a key member of our scheduling team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments and ensuring seamless communication with our healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients for radiotherapy and other services, ensuring all relevant information is complete and accurate.
  • Liaise with patients to provide them with a choice of available appointments using our computerized booking system.
  • Assist with compiling and analyzing waiting list data to optimize scheduling efficiency.
  • Help organize various departmental tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Qualified to GCSE level in English Language and Maths or equivalent.
  • NVQ3 or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent keyboard skills, diplomacy, and good telephone manner.
  • Organized approach to work, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to use own initiative for problem-solving and familiar with Microsoft Office Project Package.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of clerical/receptionist role, working in a hospital environment, and dealing with the public.
  • Working knowledge of patient management systems, such as ARIA or MOSAIQ.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, Excel, and medical terminology.
