We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Nurse to join our team at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a key member of our research delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing patients with the opportunity to participate in Early Phase Clinical Trials.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the delivery of the early phase portfolio of trials under the supervision of the Early Phase Nurse Team Lead.
- Responsible for coordinating and implementing research protocols.
- Promote clinical trials and create awareness of Velindre Clinical Trials Unit and promote awareness of the South East Wales early phase portfolio and activity.
- 1st Level Registered Nurse with evidence of continued professional development.
- Post-basic qualification in Cancer Care/Research or willingness to work towards.
- Knowledge of the research process and regulatory requirements ICH-GCP.
- Clinical Research Qualification.
- Teaching qualification.
- ECDL.
- Phase 1/2 trial experience.
- ITU/HDU experience.
- Venepuncture/cannulation skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good patient advocate.
- IT Skills - able to use WORD, Internet and Email.
