About The Graduate Project

The Graduate Project is a leading organization dedicated to empowering young people in schools and communities. As a Senior Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our mission to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local authorities, community groups, and non-profit organizations to enhance our services and reach.
  • Foster strong relationships with young people and local communities, promoting trust and understanding.
  • Improve student engagement in education, resulting in enhanced attendance, positive behavior, and increased academic success.
  • Design and deliver programs that address the unique needs of young people, in collaboration with our team.
  • Support the selection, training, and development of volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality services.
  • Provide young people with accurate information, guidance, and support, empowering them to make informed decisions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation, including evidence gathering and submission to management.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members, overseeing their onboarding and delivering training sessions.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working directly with young people, including mentoring, support, and educational program facilitation.
  • A Level 3 qualification in youth work or a related field.
  • A youth work degree or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Personal experience with the challenges faced by the young people we support.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to nurture and maintain strong connections.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices, with a commitment to upholding these principles.
