Individual Support Teaching Assistant
A reputable and supportive Primary School is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic graduate to become part of their committed educational team.
As an Individual Support Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver personalized and small group assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and more. Your role will ensure that every child has equitable access to their educational journey.
This position is ideal for individuals eager to gain valuable experience within an educational environment, as well as those aspiring to advance their careers in teaching, educational psychology, mental health, social services, and related fields.
Key Responsibilities of the Individual Support Teaching Assistant:
- Collaborating within a dynamic and welcoming primary school setting
- Providing assistance both inside and outside the classroom
- Supporting classroom educators in delivering instructional content to students of varying abilities
- Engaging with children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
- Offering tailored support to children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with SEN
