Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £100 Per day

Benefits: PAYE

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support students with Autistic Spectrum Condition and Social Emotional Mental Health needs
  • Work closely with teachers to create a supportive learning environment
  • Help students to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
  • Provide one-to-one support as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND

Education: Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)

Experience: Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of Autistic Spectrum Condition and Social Emotional Mental Health
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with SEND

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Mental Health First Aid training

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday 8:30-15:30
  • Supportive team environment
