About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in an outstanding school in Wimbledon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to students with SEND, including those with ADHD, Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Speech, Language and Communication needs (SLCN), and associated difficulties.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
  • Assist in the implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure students receive the necessary support.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with students with SEND, particularly those with ADHD, SEMH, SLCN, and associated difficulties.
  • A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students' individual needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEND is desirable.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, during term time.
