In this role, you will significantly impact the Cancer Alliance's mission of driving transformation through exceptional planning, commissioning, and service delivery. • Exhibiting the capability to act independently on challenging and sensitive matters, navigating various potential courses of action while adhering to tight and often shifting timelines.
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing performance and making a meaningful impact by focusing on objectives, particularly as the delivery team operates across different organizations within the Cancer Alliance.
  • Championing patient interests and involving the public in the development and decision-making processes of the Cancer Alliance.
  • Exhibiting a solid understanding of the key strategic issues surrounding cancer care.

About the Organization

This position offers an opportunity to play a crucial role in the ICB's response to national, local, and regional health policies, ensuring the prevention of cancer and the enhancement of outcomes for cancer patients through the delivery of high-quality patient experiences.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, capable of conveying complex and sensitive information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and judgment skills, with the ability to assess intricate situations and develop a range of viable options.
  • Extensive experience in project management principles and techniques, including familiarity with methodologies such as Prince 2.
  • A comprehensive understanding of current healthcare policies and their implications for public engagement.
