About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Valve Technician to join our team at IKM Testing UK. As a key member of our valve service team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Valve Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on various types of valves, including ball, gate, globe, check, control, parallel slide, plug, and PSV valves.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients and internal teams on valve-related issues, including troubleshooting, testing, and certification.
  • Workshop and On-Site Operations: Work independently and as part of a team to complete valve maintenance and repair tasks in our workshop and on-site at client locations.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company quality and safety procedures, including risk assessments and compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior valve technicians and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a valve service and/or valve manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of valve technology and industry standards.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in valve maintenance and repair, including testing, certification, and troubleshooting, as well as experience with relevant software and equipment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
