Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Workshop/Maintenance Technician - Well Test to join our Well Testing & Commissioning team based in Aberdeen.
Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision, undertake preventative/predictive maintenance and diagnoses/repair of equipment in line with work plans, adhering to Company quality and certification standards.
- Conduct required inspections of equipment and prepare documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Assist in the maintenance and pressure testing of various Well Testing Equipment, meeting deadlines for equipment mobilization in a safe and timely manner.
- Strip, inspect, rebuild, and recertify various Gate/Safety valves, Ball, Check, and Non-Return Valves.
- May be required to drive a forklift to move equipment pre- and post-maintenance.
- Report all incidents and non-conformances in line with procedures and deadlines.
- Update job packs, maintenance paperwork, and timesheets on a daily basis.
- Participate in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status, tasks, mobilization/demobilization updates, and other relevant topics.
- Participate in toolbox talks and risk assessment reviews as required.
- Maintain a clean working environment through daily housekeeping of the workplace and tools.
- Liaise with internal departments, including stores, certification, and operations support, to ensure timely completion of tasks in line with operational requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, providing solutions that meet Company standards.
Requirements
Technical qualification with previous product line-related experience.
Previous experience working with various API Valves (including Anson, WOM, T3, Cameron) is essential.
Previous experience working with Fisher control valves, adjustable chokes, and Pneumatic/Hydraulic Pumps would be preferred.
Previous experience of Pressure Testing of High-Pressure equipment is essential.
Experience with using torquing/tensioning units and thickness checks and thread inspection of equipment is required.
