The role:

A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Workshop Technician to join our workshop in Aberdeen. This is a full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week with opportunity for overtime. You will be expected to carry out the inspection, service, repair, and test of hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inspection, service, repair, and test of all equipment brought into the workshop, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical, dependant on equipment allocation and experience, including winches, pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, hot oil flushing of hoses and pipework, hook balls / blocks, crane boom
  • Ensure workshop area is kept clean and tidy and all company equipment is kept in good order
  • Ensuring project requirements are met within time allocated or raising with Supervisor if there is an issue with this
  • Assisting in any training required for newer members of the team
  • Uphold the standards of the company and work in line with the company systems and objectives
  • May be required to work on site locally as and when required

You are:

To be successful in the role, you will have completed a mechanical apprenticeship or achieved a formal qualification and have solid experience in the repair and maintenance of the equipment outlined. You will have proven experience working either in a Senior Technician capacity already or be an experienced Technician currently looking for a step up in role.

This is an onshore workshop-based role, and so candidates must have previous experience in this environment.
