Workshop Technician - Well Testing Equipment

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join our Well Testing & Commissioning team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of well testing equipment under the guidance of experienced supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance tasks on well testing equipment, ensuring compliance with company standards and certifications.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment and prepare accurate documentation to meet company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the pressure testing and maintenance of various well testing equipment, contributing to timely mobilization for operational needs.
  • Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and recertify a variety of valves, including gate, safety, ball, check, and non-return valves.
  • Operate forklifts to move equipment safely and efficiently within the workshop environment.
  • Report all incidents and non-conformances promptly and accurately according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of job packs, maintenance paperwork, and timesheets.
  • Actively participate in daily meetings to discuss safety protocols, maintenance updates, and operational requirements.
  • Contribute to toolbox talks and risk assessment reviews as required.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment by adhering to housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as stores, certification, and operations support to ensure seamless task completion and adherence to operational excellence.
  • Demonstrate the ability to diagnose equipment issues effectively and propose solutions that align with company standards.
Qualifications:

Technical qualifications with proven experience in a related field are essential. A strong understanding of API valves, including Anson, WOM, T3, and Cameron, is required. Experience with Fisher control valves, adjustable chokes, and pneumatic/hydraulic pumps would be advantageous.

Previous experience in pressure testing high-pressure equipment and proficiency in using torquing/tensioning units are crucial. Familiarity with thickness checks and thread inspection techniques is also highly desirable.
