Job Overview:


First Military Recruitment Ltd is excited to collaborate with a leading International Defence organization seeking to hire an Aviation Support Equipment Specialist on a permanent basis due to expansion at their Ruislip facility.

In the capacity of a Mechanical and Electrical Technician, you will engage in a unique role.

Your responsibilities will include the timely servicing and resolution of any faults, working alongside a team dedicated to ensuring both military and civilian assets are equipped with the necessary ground support equipment when required.

The ideal candidate will facilitate the efficient operation of Ground Support vehicles, adhering to established safety standards, practices, and protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute general tasks in support of aircraft operations.
2. Perform servicing and comprehensive maintenance of equipment.
3. Conduct refuelling and maintenance tasks in support of aircraft.
4. Manage serviceable equipment and lighting effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proficient in utilizing all tools related to mechanical maintenance.
2. Possess an analytical mindset, capable of diagnosing and resolving faults.
3. Ability to adhere to work and maintenance instructions with precision.
4. Performance-oriented individual demonstrating initiative and flexibility.
5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
6. Committed to fostering a positive People Experience and promoting a diverse, high-performing culture.
7. Qualified Electro / Mechanical Technician with at least City and Guild 381/382/383 certifications in Heavy Vehicle / Plant Equipment or equivalent, or time-served experience.
8. Normal colour perception graded as CP2 (required for airfield work) - can be obtained through an optician.
9. Valid Full Manual UK driving licence.
