Job Summary:
The Royal Air Force is seeking a highly skilled Air & Space Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating airspace for military and civilian aircraft, monitoring and identifying all aircraft within UK airspace, and providing specialist skills across a variety of employment areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate airspace for military and civilian aircraft
- Monitor and identify all aircraft within UK airspace
- Provide specialist skills across a variety of employment areas
- Manage aircraft mission planning systems and aeronautical data
Requirements:
- Be aged 16 – 47 years old (Must attest before 48th birthday)
- Be a citizen of the United Kingdom or holder of dual UK/other nationality
- Commit minimum 3 years post Phase Two Training
- Meet the health and fitness criteria
What You Will Do:
As an Air & Space Operations Specialist, you will work across three employment pillars: Air Operations Support, Air Operations Systems, and Space Operations. You will provide specialist skills across a variety of employment areas, including airspace monitoring, air traffic control, and station operations.
Training and Development:
You will receive basic and specialist training in your field, including the Air & Space Operations Specialist Course (ASOSC) at RAF Shawbury. You will also have opportunities for ongoing development and training throughout your career.
