Flight Operations Manager
We are seeking a qualified professional to manage the strategic planning and execution of operational support functions essential for the Royal Air Force's aviation activities. As a Flight Operations Manager, your key duties will encompass:
- Developing comprehensive flight plans
- Offering specialized guidance on aviation safety
- Leading teams of Flight Operations Assistants
The ideal candidate will possess prior military experience in Flight Operations at the rank of Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO). Additionally, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- Aged between 18 and 54
- Must be a UK citizen or hold dual UK/other nationality
- Availability for a commitment of 27 days annually
Reserve positions for Flight Operations Managers are accessible at designated RAF bases.
As a reserve member of the RAF, you will benefit from extensive training and professional development opportunities designed to enhance your skills and experiences. The competencies gained as a Reserve will not only support your role within the RAF but will also provide value to your civilian career.
The recruitment process for joining the RAF Reserves involves squadron information sessions, selection interviews, health evaluations, fitness assessments, and final acceptance into the Reserves. Candidates must meet specific entry standards concerning education, nationality, residency, and fitness levels.
