About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to join our dynamic and friendly CT team at The Countess of Chester Hospital on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in CT imaging and experience in managing and supporting a team of radiographers and students. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the CT service, promoting education and training, and maintaining high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality images across a range of CT examinations
  • Manage and support the band 5 radiographers and students
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the CT service
  • Promote education and training within CT
  • Keep up-to-date competency records
  • Actively participate in CPD
  • Provide a 24/7 service to support the hospital

Requirements

  • BSc in Radiography or Diploma of College of Radiographers
  • HCPC registered
  • Relevant post-registration experience in specialist area
  • Demonstrate empathy, tact, and understanding of patients' clinical and emotional situations
