Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Radiographer to join our dynamic and friendly CT team at The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality images across a range of CT examinations, managing and supporting band 5 Radiographers and students, and ensuring the smooth operation of the CT service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality images across the spectrum of CT examinations.
  • Manage and support the band 5 Radiographers and students.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the CT service.
  • Be responsible for the standards of care provided within the CT department.
  • Collaborate with the line manager to ensure resources are monitored and tailored to meet the needs of the service within the constraints of a financial budget.
  • Promote education and training within CT.
  • Keep up-to-date competency records.
  • Actively participate in CPD.
  • Provide a 24/7 service to support the hospital to enable a consistently safe and efficient CT service.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Radiography or a Diploma of College of Radiographers, be HCPC registered, and have relevant post-registration experience in a specialist area.
