Lead and Develop a Supported Accommodation Service

Leader Health and Social Care is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Service Manager to lead and develop a Supported Accommodation service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, guiding and supporting a team of Support Workers, and empowering young people aged 16-21 to transition to adulthood, secure housing, and promote social inclusion.

About the Role:
  • Leadership and Management: Oversee the smooth functioning of the service, including staff rotas, supervision, and ensuring compliance with government guidelines and company standards.
  • Team Support: Guide and support a team of Support Workers, offering expert advice and mentorship to help them deliver high-quality services.
  • Young People Support: Work closely with young people, helping them to transition to adulthood, secure housing, and promote social inclusion.
  • Operational Involvement: Participate in the rota to deliver direct support and assist the Regional Manager, stepping in when needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure services are delivered in line with government guidelines and company standards.
  • Travel: This is a community-based role with significant driving, and a mileage allowance is provided.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Childcare (or above) is mandatory. Applications without this will not progress.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years leadership experience in a supported accommodation service or a similar setting.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence is essential, and access to a vehicle is required.
