Supplier Collaboration Officer

About the Role
The Supplier Management team is dedicated to fostering robust and collaborative relationships with our suppliers, ensuring value delivery and effective budget management. As a Supplier Manager, your primary focus will be on adhering to the Supplier Management Framework and Partner Charter, which ensures consistent engagement and governance. A key aspect of this role is to identify opportunities for ongoing enhancement and to prevent value leakage. Your contributions will significantly impact business priorities by ensuring that these opportunities are realized and benefits achieved.
This position operates on a hybrid model with a 4.5-day workweek. Our teams are expected to work from our vibrant head office for a minimum of 2 days each week, with the remaining time spent working remotely, Monday to Friday. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities within the supplier landscape to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with various business functions to ensure alignment between supplier landscape and business objectives.
- Assist business functions in cost optimization initiatives and risk mitigation.
- Support business owners in contract renewals and negotiations.
- Ensure the receipt of rebates and avoidance of penalties.
- Maximize the value derived from partnerships with suppliers.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Act as the primary contact for both the business and suppliers.
- Foster cohesive working methods to drive success.
- Organize events to encourage collaboration and innovation.
- Enhance colleagues' understanding of commercial awareness and supplier management.

About the Team
Our Procurement Department operates at a rapid pace, ensuring we have the necessary resources when required. This includes everything from IT equipment to essential services, contributing to the smooth operation of our stores, depots, and manufacturing sites. Building strong supplier relationships is crucial for sourcing everything needed to maintain operations, ultimately helping to keep prices competitive for our customers.
