About the Role

As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of Oracle's workforce and those impacted by our operations. You will collaborate closely with managers, employees, and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive strategies, policies, and plans for occupational health and safety, aligning with Oracle's overall business objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to managers and employees on all aspects of health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections and investigations, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and professional organizations to stay abreast of evolving industry standards and legislative requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within Oracle by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives and fostering a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on various health and safety topics, enhancing their knowledge and skills.
  • Utilize technology effectively to streamline policy delivery, track incidents, and manage safety data.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a health and safety role within a similar corporate environment.
  • A formal degree or NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, with progress towards becoming a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
