About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join one of the UK's largest construction and concrete frame contractors. Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Promotion: Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with management, employees, and contractors to promote a culture of safety, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH General or Construction certification, Member of IOSH, and a valid UK driving license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a construction health and safety position, with a strong understanding of H & S Legislation.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
