Key Responsibilities- Health, Safety, and Well-being Management: Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and well-being policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments for all areas of the organization, including engineering, assets, retail services, and group functions. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Safety Inspections and Audits: Perform regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Ensure all facilities comply with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs on health, safety, and well-being for all employees. Provide expert advice and support to ensure a culture of safety and well-being across the organization.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate incidents and accidents, providing reports and recommendations to improve health, safety, and well-being practices.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with HR and other departments to promote well-being initiatives and improve employee health and morale. Communicate effectively with employees, management, and stakeholders to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Experience: Proven experience in managing safety in a construction sector or a similar industry.
- Qualifications: Professional certification in health and safety, such as Nebosh Diploma or NVQ level 5, IOSH or equivalent.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices. Excellent communication and training skills.
- Other Requirements: Full UK driving license.
- Competitive Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
- Benefits Package: Annual leave, contributory pension, personal medical assessments, and a wider benefits scheme.
