Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Credit Controller to join our client's team. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for collecting aged debts, liaising with customers, and maintaining accurate records. If you have a proven track record of taking responsibility for credit control duties and confidence dealing with debt-collecting, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Debt Collection: Contact customers to ensure timely payment of invoices and follow up with customers that have aged debt on their account to request and arrange payment.
  • Customer Liaison: Handle customer calls to efficiently resolve account queries and inform the Finance Manager of problematic accounts and issue debt collection procedures.
  • Account Management: Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, update customer information, and create new customer accounts and perform credit checks prior to orders being processed.
  • Administration: Undertake administration tasks, including raising credit notes and invoices, allocating incoming payments to customer accounts, and undertaking bank, credit card, and fuel card reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Experience: Experience gained in a similar role, either as a Credit Controller or an Accounts Assistant with credit control responsibilities.
  • Skills: Strong IT skills, particularly in SAP, Proactis, and Excel, excellent organisation and time management skills, and superb communication skills.
  • Commercial Awareness: Commercially aware and proactive, with a can-do attitude and sense of fun.
