FRS Ltd is seeking a skilled Financial Support Specialist to join their team in a reputable manufacturing business.
The ideal candidate will provide crucial support to the finance team by managing the Purchase Ledger and Time & Attendance (T&A) system, handling administrative tasks related to stock takes, and assisting with various finance functions. This role offers broad exposure to finance operations and includes study support for AAT or CIMA qualifications.
The job will be split into the following key areas:
Accounts Payable- Post purchase invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers to maintain good relationships.
- Maintain the T&A system to ensure accurate recording of hours.
- Complete weekly reports to ensure accurate recording of hours.
- Set up new starters and handle employee queries related to T&A.
- Manage weekly stock takes to ensure accuracy.
- Provide templates for stock recording to ensure consistency.
- Ensure timely and accurate receipt of stock take results.
- Monitor and manage office supply stock levels to ensure efficiency.
- Keep track of office supplies and place orders as needed to avoid stockouts.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable tasks as required to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle phone calls and greet office visitors in a professional manner.
- Provide occasional cover for credit control during holidays or sick leave.
- Agree on intercompany balances and present them to the Management Accountant for approval.
- Run daily invoices and reports as required to ensure accuracy.
- Provide month-end support to ensure timely completion.
- Assist with Year-End Accounts and external audits as needed.
- Undertake other ad hoc responsibilities as required to support the finance team.
