Accountant - Finance Transformation Specialist

RM Recruit is collaborating with a Staffordshire-based Multi-Academy Trust to recruit an Interim Project Accountant to focus on finance process improvement projects. This role will support the Finance Director at a sizable trust with 20+ academies, aiming to consolidate their end-to-end finance process for future stable expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a new Purchase Order process, integrating with Sage Intacct implementation and training individual school teams.
- Collaborate with the Management Accounting team to create automatically populated and wide-ranging management reports and KPIs.
- Work with the Data team to design standard dashboards across the Trust, delivering flash reports on individual academies.
- Lead the project to create a consistent financial onboarding process for new schools joining the trust accounting structure.
- Develop and roll out a finance function SharePoint site, providing access to all data and resources for stakeholders.
- Create internal process handbooks reflecting real-time project progress, followed by training for the finance function at all seniority levels.
- Lead a team of 4 staff members seconded to various projects.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) or due to achieve qualified status by the end of 2024.
- Finance project experience in complex business environments and a passion for finance process improvements.
Working Arrangements:
This role will operate on a hybrid working model.
