Position Overview

Compensation:
£32,050 to approximately £37,700 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in negotiating compensation claims, including market value, disturbance, loss payments, and professional fees.
  • Engage in public consultation events to clarify aspects of compensation schemes to stakeholders and community members.
  • Provide support to senior team members on acquisitions that fall outside statutory and discretionary compensation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the internal property management team and relevant governmental departments to ensure timely acquisition processes.
  • Maintain ownership of all property-related information generated or influenced by the scope of work, ensuring accurate data entry in Land and Property systems.
  • Prepare timely responses to inquiries from claimants, stakeholders, and officials, ensuring high standards of communication are upheld.
  • Conduct research and gather information from diverse sources to assist in evaluating compensation claims and addressing petitions or inquiries.
  • Draft governance and approval documentation for review by relevant panels.
  • Actively promote and integrate Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles in all tasks, adhering to organizational policies and initiatives on EDI.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in managing communications and negotiations with tact.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Project management experience.
  • Competence in report writing, data compilation, and analysis.
  • Proficient in IT applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent software.
  • Ability to access, analyze, and maintain information across multiple IT databases and systems.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the compulsory purchase process or government compensation schemes (additional training will be provided).

Experience:

  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Experience in collaborating with suppliers to build effective working relationships and manage performance for successful delivery.
