Co-ordinator of Student Wellbeing

Role Summary:
King's InterHigh is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Coordinator to support a Key Stage group. The coordinator will work alongside existing leadership to provide support for a Key Stage to meet the school's strategic aims and development plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the leadership team to monitor and track the social, personal, and academic development of students.
- Co-ordinate with Deputy Head and other key staff, develop, and assure high-quality delivery of the pastoral curriculum.
- Contribute to the effective implementation of the school's identity and values.
- Monitor and support student progress and wellbeing.
- On a day-to-day basis, support the tutors. This involves providing a sharp vision and direction of work.
- To monitor the student experience liaising with key staff where necessary.
- To lead Key Stage events, such as Welcome events, reflect lessons and assemblies.
- Work with leadership to develop strategies to maintain and improve upon the school's academic outcomes, student satisfaction and retention within and between year groups.
Key Skills and Qualities:
- Model excellence in the classroom.
- Monitor and support the wellbeing of the staff and pastoral care of the children in their Key Stage Group.
- Co-plan the pastoral and co-curricular programmes, ensuring adherence to school policies and procedures, and behaviour for learning.
- Act as a role model and offer supportive coordination to all teachers.
- Support children and colleagues, sometimes going above and beyond, including overseeing enrichment of the curriculum, including marketing activities to support prospective families to join the school.
- Actively strengthen the relationship between home and school.
- Act as a point of escalation for student and parent issues and concerns, ensuring clear and responsive communications to resolve matters.
- Support on ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the Key Stage group.
- Follow agreed intervention strategies to support student progress and wellbeing, offering support and guidance where appropriate.
- Support workshop delivery and arrange external talks to educate parents in pastoral trends and issues facing pupils.
- To liaise closely with school staff to ensure that everyone understands and supports the strategies being used by the Pastoral Coordinator to develop pupils' skills for learning and learning behaviour.
- To send out appropriate correspondence to parents/carers.
- To undertake any other duties as reasonably required.
