About the Role
We are seeking a team of experienced professionals to join our luxury hospitality team at Harrods. As a Waiter, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Your Responsibilities
- Take food and beverage orders in a professional manner, maximizing sales opportunities while maintaining a discreet approach.
- Organize and execute all mise-en-place duties prior to and after service, adhering to the highest standards.
- Ensure accurate cash handling procedures and customer billing.
- Set up and clear tables prior to, during, and after service, maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
- Ensure your station and the restaurant run smoothly, upholding Harrods' high standards of quality, service, and productivity.
About You
You are an excellent communicator and customer service-focused individual, enjoying greeting customers in a warm and friendly manner while remaining attentive throughout their visit. You provide customers with a prompt and efficient service, thinking on your feet in pressurized situations.
You are reliable, work well in a team, and are a good listener and supporter. You will also:
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant menu and allergens, as well as a good understanding of any specials promotions. You will be able to answer guest queries quickly, knowledgeably, and in a discreet manner, upholding the highest standards.
- Engage with and interact comfortably with guests, building a working rapport in service to ensure a smooth and elegant service experience.
- Be able to convey the Harrods story to customers throughout the dining experience.
- Have good attention to detail, evident through floor mise-en-place, checklists, and sufficient stock levels.
