Our projects are varied and engaging, with values ranging from £5k to £15m, where we take on the roles of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, while also supporting our esteemed Tier 1 contractor clients in subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacities.

The Role

This position involves core hours from Monday to Friday, contracted for 40 hours per week, with overtime available. Travel time will be compensated door to door, in addition to your contracted and overtime hours.

We are expanding our team due to increased workload across the Midlands, particularly within the water industry frameworks we are engaged with.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical installations to ensure compliance with the highest standards.
  • Actively promote and adhere to the STAR dynamic risk assessment.
  • Coach and mentor Mechanical Fitters, Mates, and Apprentices.
  • Exemplify and promote Bridges' values in interactions with peers, staff, customers, and clients.
  • Encourage positive health and well-being among team members.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidates will be adaptable, proactive, and possess experience in reactive work on industrial civil sites, particularly in upgrading critical assets such as Pumping Station Refurbishments and Steelwork Fabrication.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor.
  • Background in the Water or Industrial sector.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification (essential).
  • Relevant City & Guilds trade qualification.
  • CSCS & CCNSG certification (or equivalent).
  • Fitness to work medical certification.

Desirable Qualifications

  • PASMA certification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • Confined space training.
  • Authorization to Pressure Test (Bridges).
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider certification.
  • EUSR registration.
