Position Overview

This role is structured around core hours from Monday to Friday, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. Compensation is hourly, with additional pay for overtime. Travel time will be compensated door to door, in addition to contracted and overtime hours.

We are expanding our team in response to increased project demands within the Midlands, particularly within the water industry frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical installations to ensure compliance with the highest standards.
  • Implement and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment process.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Mechanical Fitters, Mates, and Apprentices.
  • Exemplify and promote Bridges' core values in interactions with colleagues, staff, customers, and clients.
  • Encourage a culture of positive health and well-being among peers.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and possess experience in reactive work on industrial civil sites, focusing on the enhancement of critical assets, including Pumping Station Refurbishments and Steelwork Fabrication.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor.
  • Background in the Water or Industrial sector.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification (mandatory).
  • Relevant City & Guilds trade qualification.
  • CSCS & CCNSG certifications (or equivalent).
  • Fitness to work medical certification.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • PASMA certification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • Confined space training.
  • Authorization to Pressure Test (Bridges).
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider certification.
  • EUSR registration.
