Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with experience in a manufacturing setting?

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a reputable manufacturer known for its commitment to quality. This organization is experiencing significant growth and has ambitious investment plans.

The ideal candidate will be a mechanically focused maintenance engineer, a multi-skilled technician, or a mechanical fitter with a background in a manufacturing environment. A solid understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics is essential. Candidates should ideally be apprentice trained or possess equivalent qualifications.

In this role, you will report to the maintenance supervisor and be responsible for both reactive and scheduled maintenance, utilizing a CMMS system. You will engage with a diverse array of production and process machinery within a plastics manufacturing facility. Your mechanical duties will include working on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, drives, rivets, belts, and pumps. Additionally, you will participate in disassembly and reassembly tasks, continuous improvement initiatives, and facility maintenance as required.

  • Mechanical maintenance on production and process machinery

  • Conducting reactive maintenance
  • Executing pre-planned maintenance following a CMMS system
  • Participating in project and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working DAYS, Monday to Friday

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer, mechanical fitter, or mechanical technician
  • Apprentice trained or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
