Job Overview

The Mechanical Services Supervisor will play a key role in supporting the manager of the pump services department by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department. This includes placing orders, dealing with customer requests, and processing projects to scheduled completion.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Provide exceptional customer service and communication at all times, ensuring a high level of satisfaction with our clients.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date job packs to ensure document control is in line with our quality management processes.
  3. Support the planning and coordination of the daily operations of the pump repair department, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and order new parts as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  5. Regularly review work in progress to identify areas for improvement and optimize project timelines.
  6. Prepare clear and concise, written quotations to customers, outlining the scope of work and associated costs.
  7. Develop and maintain reports and other documentation as required, providing valuable insights into departmental performance.
  8. Support the monthly forecasting of sales, working closely with the sales team to identify trends and opportunities.

Requirements

  1. Knowledge of various types of rotating equipment, including pumps and other mechanical systems.
  2. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  3. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  4. IT literacy and administrative competence, with the ability to use a range of software applications.
  5. Customer-focused approach, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional service.
  6. Knowledge of quality assurance practices, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

  1. GCSE or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in core subjects.
