About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Ecommerce Trading Executive to join our team at Barbour. As a key member of our ecommerce department, you will play a crucial role in driving global sales and trading operations within our framework of brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Forecasting and Analysis: Collaborate with the Senior Global Ecommerce Trading Manager to develop and manage global revenue forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities to maximize trading performance.
  • Global Ecomm Trade Calendar Management: Oversee the creation and management of the global ecommerce trade calendar, ensuring timely updates and sharing relevant information with stakeholders.
  • Personalization Strategy: Work closely with the ecommerce team to develop and implement a global personalization strategy, enhancing the customer experience and driving sales growth.
  • Paid Marketing Activity: Partner with digital agencies to ensure all paid marketing activity is commercially driven and aligned with the trade calendar, maximizing ROI and sales performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with B&M, marketing, and content teams to ensure seamless communication and productivity, ensuring all products and pricing are accurately displayed.
  • KPI Reporting and Analysis: Provide weekly KPI reports, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement, and offering recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Assortment Planning: Support assortment planning for ecommerce, working closely with the wider business to agree plans and ensure optimal product offerings.
  • Digital Meetings and Insights: Lead monthly digital meetings with B&M, providing insights into customer journey and ecommerce metrics, and driving business decisions.
  • Stock Distribution and Optimization: Analyze trading patterns and challenge distribution of stock to increase potential for incremental sales, focusing on free stock as a key area for growth.
  • Customer-Focused Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the premium lifestyle market and buying trends, staying up-to-date with the latest ecommerce developments.
  • NPD and Slow Sell-Through Items: Ensure the correct level of new product development (NPD) is present while pushing slow sell-through items to optimize product offerings.
  • Commercial View on Email and Content Output: Offer a commercial perspective on all email and content output within the team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Customer Journey and Site Performance: Work closely with Google Analytics to identify opportunities to maximize sales, understanding customer drop-off points and providing solutions to management.
  • Site Health and UAT Testing: Monitor site health, ensuring no critical bugs impact sales, and conduct UAT testing on merchandising and trade-specific roadmap releases.
Requirements
  • Experience in Consumer Ecommerce: Proven experience in consumer ecommerce and performance marketing, with a strong understanding of ecommerce platforms and analytics solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Technical understanding of ecommerce platforms, preferably Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and experience with CRM systems and analytics solutions such as Google Analytics.
  • Consumer Experience Understanding: Strong understanding of consumer experience in an ecommerce environment, with a solid grasp of retail merchandising principles and supporting metrics.
