Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to become a vital member of the Orthotics Team within our healthcare organization. The primary focus of this role is to facilitate a thorough administrative support system within the Orthotics department, serving as the main point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, whether in person or via telephone.

Key Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position include delivering a high standard of administrative support by coordinating orthotic outpatient appointments and overseeing the clerical team’s daily operations within the Orthotics department.

Candidates should possess exceptional communication abilities, demonstrating a capacity to collaborate effectively within a small team and manage their own workload alongside that of others efficiently.

Education Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths;
  • NVQ Level 3 in administration or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience;
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Experience Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Experience interacting with the general public;
  • Prior administrative experience;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Word, Outlook, and Excel;
  • Understanding of customer care principles and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Desirable Experience

  • Recent relevant experience within the NHS.
