NHS Highland Cancer Services is looking for a skilled cancer nurse to provide nursing leadership for our Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Lead SACT Nurse, collaborating with the Lead Clinician and Lead Pharmacist as part of the NHS Highland Lead SACT Team to fulfill the requirements of CEL 30.
  • Act as an expert practitioner in all facets of SACT, offering professional guidance to the organization, patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff.
  • Function as the Nurse Consultant for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
  • Lead initiatives and service redesign efforts for the administration of SACT across NHS Highland and NHS Western Isles, working closely with the NHS Highland Lead SACT team, cancer nurse consultant, local managers, and the North Cancer Alliance when necessary.
  • Influence clinical practice by providing consultative, leadership, and educational support to healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients receiving SACT for cancer treatment.
  • Maintain clinical excellence and promote Raigmore Hospital Cancer Centre and NHS Highland as a center of excellence in SACT delivery.
