POSITION TITLE: Senior Project Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitate effective communication across various disciplines
  • Collaborate with fellow Project Engineers, Delivery Team Leaders, Engineering Managers, Construction, Commercial, and Planning teams
  • Manage project modifications proficiently
  • Implement a robust risk management strategy
  • Exhibit leadership in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) within your area of influence
  • Contribute to the formulation of plans, schedules, and estimates for individual work scopes
  • Strive to ensure all assigned tasks are executed within the agreed budget and timeline
  • Prepare cost estimates and assist in reviewing proposed schedules
  • Engage in discussions with clients and conduct site visits as necessary, including offshore locations
  • Support the Lead, Principal, or Senior Discipline Engineers in fulfilling their responsibilities when requested
  • Maintain the required technical quality of all produced work
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures in work output
  • Stay informed about technical advancements, national and international standards, and legislative requirements pertinent to the assigned discipline, including aiding in the training and technical development of engineers
  • Prepare engineering and construction scopes for man-hours and equipment estimates as needed.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • HND / HNC in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in a project environment within the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or similar industries
  • Familiarity with project control mechanisms
  • Understanding of commercial and technical risk assessments
  • Ability to navigate current and emerging legislation and standards
  • Willingness to travel offshore/site and capable of conducting surveys
  • Strong team player
  • Driven to achieve results
  • Proficient in data investigation and interpretation
  • Adaptable and responsive to changing circumstances
  • Capable of motivating and supervising personnel from other disciplines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates cross-cultural awareness and the ability to foster effective working relationships across our global operations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry is preferred but not mandatory
  • Relevant experience in other engineering sectors will be considered where applicable
  • Experience with brownfield projects is desirable
